Restore Lipa City’s Green Future: Plant more TREES!

Restore Lipa City’s Green Future: Plant more TREES!
The Issue
🌳 Petition Update: 5,000 Strong!
First of all, thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative since we launched it in October 2024. Reaching 5,000 signatories is a huge milestone, and I truly appreciate every single one of you who took the time to sign and share.
I’ll be honest—it took me a while to make progress because of my full-time job, but this cause has always been in my heart. I encourage everyone to plant a tree even in your own backyards. Every tree planted, no matter how small, contributes to a greener future. Let’s continue making an impact in any way we can!
Thank you again for being part of this movement! 🌱

Lipa City is our home—a place where the air used to be cooler, where greenery lined the streets, and where the shade of trees provided comfort on a hot day. But over the years, as new subdivisions and infrastructures rose, our natural spaces shrank.
Recently, Typhoon Kristine swept through the city of Lipa, leaving behind a trail of devastation. Floodwaters surged in areas that were once peaceful, and the soil that once absorbed the rain now struggles to do so without the roots of trees holding it together. I remember, every time there’s a typhoon that hits our city, I’m just always so lucky to say that ang Lipa ay hindi binabaha. But that was long gone, and really, I hope we can do something to mitigate this problem.
Amidst the aftermath, we have a chance to rebuild not just homes and roads, but also the nature that used to protect us. As we work towards recovery, we believe it’s time to give back to the environment that has always given to us.
Trees aren’t just a part of our landscape—they’re a vital part of our city’s resilience. They absorb rainwater, reduce the risk of flooding, provide shade, and offer us cleaner air. They are nature’s way of protecting us. Now, it’s our turn to protect them.
By planting more trees, we can ensure that Lipa’s growth doesn’t come at the cost of our environment. It’s time to rebuild a greener, safer, and more resilient Lipa—not just for us, but for future generations.
Imagine Lipa where every new building is balanced with new trees, where progress and nature thrive side by side.
By planting trees, you can be a part of a brighter, safer future for Lipeños. Together, let’s rebuild not just our city, but the bond between nature and our community.
