The NSW Government has indicated that 9 stations west of Bankstown are likely to be closed after Metro Southwest opens between Sydenham and Bankstown

Early reports suggest that bus will replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe/Cabramatta, but the NSW Government is refusing to provide further information
