Fabens High School, once a beacon of pride and beauty in our community, is now in a state of disrepair. The gold and blue stripes that once adorned the walls have been replaced by blank canvases. Half the lights in the halls don't work, and those that do are missing bulbs. Ceiling tiles are falling due to water damage, floor tiles are broken and mismatched, and sewage water floods the hallways on a regular basis.

This is not just about aesthetics; it's about safety and dignity for our students. According to National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), school conditions significantly impact student achievement levels - including graduation rates - as well as teacher retention.

Our school looks more like a prison than an institution meant to inspire learning. We owe it to our children to provide them with an environment conducive for education—one that fosters creativity instead of stifling it.
