City Manager McLaughlin has lied in her Resolution for Dinghy Beach - City Commission Meeting Agenda Item #22 Nov. 1st - so she can give Bubba buddy Bobby Spottswood valuable public beach!

So once again McLaughlin has lied, Asst. Stoughton has helped her do it, City Mayor Johnston supports and praises her for it, and City Atty Smith has approved it and yet another of her attempts to defraud the public of Dinghy Beach. This time, instead of refusing to get a riprarian line survey and hiding it from the Commission like she did back in Dec. '21, she just flat out lies in her Resolution to try to sway the Commission to give up the property:

1.) McLaughlin claims Surveyor Chee-a-tow (never actually hired by the City and not a legal expert) said the property belongs to SH5/Weasel Spottswood - BUT she fails to say that a week later he changed his mind after getting all the documents Stoughton hid from him and now says it is "equitable" i.e. 50% public/50% SH5.

2.) McLaughlin claims Reece survey says the beach belongs to Spottswood. No, no the survey does not show the required riprarian line that would show it belongs to City or Spottswood, in fact Reece specifically states (survey notes #3 & #6), his survey "does not determine ownership or property rights" and is "without benefit of Title Commitment". It's also not a bathymetric survey that McLaughlin said she would get which would be rock-solid in court and show most of the beach belonged to the City...

3.) McLaughlin says the City finds there is no "public purpose" for Dinghy Beach....WHAT? So 1100 petitioners asking you to RestoreDinghyBeach so it can again be used as a public recreational area is not a "public purpose"???

Incompetent, corrupt McLaughlin has to lie in her attempts to defraud the public of this valued public waterfront property in favor of Spottswood, because if it goes to court, she knows he'll lose and the City will win the beach back.
