Dear 124,135 of you!

Three years ago, we came together in outrage and solidarity when a UK Government minister ordered the removal of cartoon murals from children’s spaces in asylum intake centres - erasing small moments of comfort from children who had already lost so much. It was cruel. It was unnecessary. And it mattered that we stood against it.

Today, the stakes feel just as high.

As the far right gains ground, the boundaries of what is considered acceptable are shifting. Fear overshadows hope. And acts of cruelty that break our humanity, risk becoming normalised - and the most vulnerable continue to bear the brunt of it.

We cannot let that happen.

That’s why this Saturday, 28th March, we will be supporting the Together Alliance march in Central London - standing visibly for compassion, unity, and hope. Moments like this matter. Showing up matters.

If you’re able to join us, and would like to march together. Please email cartoonsnotcruelty@gmail.com - or send a message on Instagram - and I’ll share details of where we can meet beforehand.

The March officially begins at Park Lane 12pm through to Trafalgar Square at 1pm and ends in Whitehall at 2pm. Key information here.

If this is your first march, here are a few simple tips:

  • Everyone is welcome — you belong there!
  • You can make a placard/sign representing why you’re there
  • Bring water and snacks
  • Plan your journey home in advance
  • Arrive early — crowds can make it hard to find people

Three years ago, we raised our voices together. This Saturday, we do it again — not just to resist cruelty, but to stand for something better.

I hope to see you there! And as always, thank you for your support!
