From personal experience as a social media creator and YouTuber, I understand the paramount importance of data privacy. The peril of having one's home address or personal photos leaked could lead to real life bullying or, in extreme cases, even murder. Our privacy is under constant threat from those who disagree with our views and are willing to use our personal data as a weapon for physical harassment.

The right to privacy is widely considered to be a basic human right. Yet, we've often found the UK government making unwarranted intrusions on our privacy. Therefore, this petition urgently calls for the UK government to enforce end-to-end encryption on apps and HTTPS protocols on websites. This measure will not just provide an additional layer of security, but it is a crucial step toward ensuring our right to privacy.

Apple's advanced data protection, which currently covers their products only, should be extended and shared across many other apps and services. This action has the potential to create a much safer and secure internet environment globally, benefitting countless individuals beyond Apple users.

The recent rise in cyber crimes, data breaches, and privacy intrusions is alarming. According to Cybersecurity Ventures, the annual cost of cyber crime globally could hit $6 trillion by 2021. It's high time for measures to be taken to curb this ever-growing threat that can cause detrimental personal and social outcomes.

Not only that but to make sure once and for all that the UK government will never ever affect end to end encryption and make sure that anything that happens on the internet stays private to you forever as some of the things we do can affect how we are all socially seen and this can cause some people to even lose their jobs or friends whom want to distance from controversial people.
