At the start of his presidency, Trump withdrew America from the Paris Agreement, an international treaty aimed to limit the dire effects of climate change. By withdrawing, the United States has joined the 3 other countries not part of the agreement – Iran, Libya, and Yemen.  Look around you–the effects of climate change are already here. 2024 is the first year that the earth has raised 1.5C above pre-industrial levels. Ironically, this was the limit set by the Paris Climate Agreement. There are severe natural disasters throughout the earth and droughts that affect millions. With this petition, we are able to raise awareness to this issue, implementing America’s participation to change the world for the better.
