COMMUNITY TARGET: 349 SIGNATURES

On September 5, 2026, TfL officially withdrew the 349 bus route (Ponders End to Stamford Hill), causing the A1010 to spiral into chaos, as regular commuters, such as the elderly, the disabled, and school children, have to be left vulnerable and stranded as their routine journey transitions into and extended journey. This has been the root cause of these passengers from needing to take one bus to transferring to two, increasing the money consumed and the longevity of their travel time overall.

These changes made by TfL had hopes to remove "duplication", and yet this goes against their aim of "accessible" journeys, as well as having an "inclusively designed transport network".

As you can see from the image above, the changes to axe the 349 bus clearly visualises the negative knock-on effect that has been created by overcrowding on other bus routes; particularly the 259, now operating between Ponders End to Holloway, and 279, now terminating at Stamford Hill instead of its original terminus: Manor House. Reverting these changes will have to take time and work, but as the community of North London like Enfield, Wood Green, and Edmonton Green, this can be achieved successfully.

Revive 349 and Restore 259 and 279 with one signature!
