As residents of an apartment complex in Windsor, CO, we are facing a serious parking issue. Many of us have to park far away from our homes or sometimes not able to park at all. This is not just an inconvenience but also a safety concern.

According to the National Safety Council, walking distances increase the risk of pedestrian accidents especially during nighttime (National Safety Council). In addition, having to carry groceries or other heavy items from distant parking spots can pose health risks and exacerbate existing conditions for some residents.

This situation is causing unnecessary stress and worry among our community members. We believe that everyone has a right to safe and accessible parking near their homes. Therefore, we call upon the City of Windsor to take immediate action in resolving this issue by giving back street parking or implementing better parking policies such as certain time limits street parking can be available.
