We demand the resignation of Chief Executive Laurence Rockey from East Lothian Council.

The Public were lied to and misled during a consultation on parking charges in the area.  We do not want a Council who lie and mislead us and someone must be held responsible.

A survey the public completed stated the reason for this was traffic congestion.  The survey also stated that all revenue raised would go to local transport.  The public completed the survey on this basis.

Weeks later, while survey was being analysed, Mr Rockey told us it was about revenue raising as well.  ELC also told us of the spending and it will not all be going to transport.  It will be spent on general spending and filling a black hole.

We completed a survey based on lies and misleading information.  We want a Council who are trustworthy and upfront.  As the Chief Executive, we demand that Mr Rockey should resign.  Please support this petition, forward to others and help bring integrity and trust back to our Council.
