We, the residents of Wateridge Village, ask the City of Ottawa and counselor Rawlson King commit to the development and re-opening of Hemlock Road, as was intended when the community was planned. This road is a key means for us to access businesses and amenities north on St Laurent Blvd, as well as Beechwood and downtown. Many of us bought houses in this development having been told that this road would eventually be re-opened. Not following through on this would exacerbate traffic and congestion in the neighborhood, add to our commute, and reduce access to amenities. We were promised and sold a neighborhood where we could « live, work, and play » —so this is what we expect.
