This is a petition to get a residential home, Located at 8506 E Valleyway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99212, that was turned into an adult care home shut down. There are many of these homes popping up all over Spokane and Spokane Valley. It is not safe to have these types of mentally ill people in residential neighborhoods.

At the corner of Valleyway Ave and Bessie Rd they converted a house to a care home which house potentially dangerous and mentally ill people. Last night one of the residents, a very large man, attacked the owner/caregiver and then crossed the street to our house and tried to force his way into our house by ramming into our door ten times. He damaged our door and destabilized the frame.

The cops were on the scene quickly and he pounded on their windows. They had to tase him and even then it took 3 cops to keep him down to handcuff him. He told the cop that they better take him to jail because he was going to kill somebody. He was arrested and charged with 3 felonies, domestic violence, attempted breaking and entering and malicious mischief. I would like to start a petition to get this business closed. These are not the type of people we should have in the neighborhood.

There have also been other instances such as the residents starting small fires and trespassing on peoples property. They also do not take care of the property and it looks awful.
