I am living in a condominium complex where we have a secondary indicator for our address that is registered with the United States Postal Service, but this secondary indicator is NOT listed as a legal descriptor on our plats registered with the Circuit Court. This wrongfully registered secondary indicator masks our legal addresses and was not approved by the local government. As a result, various resident's credit history, utilities history, Motor Vehicle Administration history, Emergency Medical Services registration, and Election/Voter Registration doesn't match their legal description, increasing the risk of title fraud.

For Example:
Incorrect and wrongfully registered: 
3226 Spartan Rd, Unit 53 or Apt 53, Olney, MD 20832

Should be (legal address as per plat):
3226 Spartan Rd, Unit 2-A-1, Olney, MD 20832

The United States Postal Service should be required to use everyone's legal address as their official address and eliminate wrongfully registered secondary indicators. Ensuring that addresses match those on plats registered with Circuit Courts will protect residents from potential fraud and inaccuracies in their personal records.
