Last week, my wife and I decided to enjoy the beautiful evening with a walk around our neighborhood, something we love to do regularly to unwind. As we were strolling along our driveway, a golf ball suddenly zoomed past us, eventually bouncing across the street and into our neighbor's yard. It was an alarming moment that could have had dire consequences if the ball had struck either of us or our neighbors.

The situation could have been much worse, as residents of our community—located adjacent to Trenton Golf Course—we often see balls flying into our yards or even hitting our homes. These incidences pose serious safety risks to families, particularly to children who play outside, and to anyone enjoying a leisurely walk or spending time outdoors. Trenton Golf Course is a place for leisure and recreation, but for those of us living nearby, it has turned into a potential hazard.

The lack of proper safety barriers between the golf course and our residential area is concerning and entirely preventable. Other communities adjacent to golf courses have implemented safety measures such as high nets along the perimeter to effectively contain stray balls, ensuring the safety and peace of mind of nearby residents.

We call upon the management of Trenton Golf Course and local authorities to take immediate and effective action by installing safety barriers along the edges of the course. This not only helps protect the people living here but also preserves the reputation of the golf course as a responsible and community-friendly establishment.
