In a community nearby, many children have recently been diagnosed with cancers that are shown to have links to pesticide usage. This alarming trend is a wake-up call for us to act before our community faces a similar health crisis.

The lack of transparency and notification when pesticides are applied severely limits our right to make informed decisions regarding our exposure to these harmful chemicals. Despite the proven dangers of pesticide exposure, my HOA, alongside the county and the contracted landscaping company, does not currently provide any notice when these chemicals are used in the community's common areas. We demand that our Homeowners Association implement a policy that requires the posting and dissemination of written notices, well in advance, when pesticides are to be used in any common areas.
