As a local Hempfield resident whose property borders the parklet, I feel personally invested in this cause. The Hempfield Township has invested substantial resources into transforming this space into a valuable community asset, developing features such as a walking path and a bench for relaxation. It's disheartening to see it under-used due to restricted access.

Hempfield Township Supervisors, we beseech you to open the parklet gate, located within the Heather Ridge and Hempfield Manor Plans; our community wishes to put these public amenities to use. By doing so, we not only enhance the value of our community, but we also take full advantage of the township's investment in the parklet. One essential condition to this request is that no motorized vehicles should be allowed to maintain the tranquility and security of the area.

This parklet is not just a place; it is a community binder, a place for neighbors to gather, share stories, or simply enjoy the day while children play.
