The statistics highlight the urgency of tackling this problem. Everyday users have reported instances of scams on Facebook, but these reports have often gone ignored. Neglecting to address these scams endangers the safety and security of its users. With its vast resources, comprehensive scam detection and prevention should not be beyond the capability of a platform as significant as Facebook. We request that Facebook takes a stronger stance against scams, improving their scam detection methods and effectively acting on reports made by their users.
