Require CPS to wear body cameras for accountability

The Issue

My four children were removed from my care based on false allegations and accusations, and now, after tirelessly working for two years to bring them back home, my parental rights are being unjustly terminated. Child Protective Services (CPS), particularly Dusty Brown Kessler, Amanda Laster, Johnna Davis, and Amber Lenderman, are not acting in the best interests of families. They are fabricating reports and pushing emergency removal orders based on trivial issues like dishes in the sink or a child's runny nose, deep cough and fever. Shockingly, once children are removed, they don't receive medical attention for weeks. The judge hears the arguments and facts and keeps letting it go on, perjury, copy and paste removal orders not to mention the actual abuse my children faced from CPS workers, leaving children in a vehicle unattended for over an hour by themselves plus the threats made to a seven year old and his 2 friends watched it all traumatizing all of them.

Supervisors at CPS rarely make house visits, maybe once a year, leaving families without proper oversight. This lack of accountability allows CPS workers to continue their reckless actions unchecked. On top of that, there's been a personal vendetta against me. After sharing a news article involving one of their family members, they retaliated by making my life a nightmare with these baseless accusations.

This is a call for change and justice. CPS workers who have so much power over the lives of families should be mandated to wear body cameras while on duty, similar to law enforcement officers. Body cameras would provide an objective account of visits and interactions, preventing false reports from being submitted to courts. This would ensure transparency, protect families from unfounded decisions, and hold CPS accountable for their actions.

It’s time to reform CPS policies and ensure they operate with integrity and empathy, rather than blindly following protocol at the expense of families' rights. Cameras would provide verifiable evidence during interactions, help supervise their investigations properly, and rebuild the trust that has been significantly damaged.

Help us demand that CPS workers wear body cameras to promote fairness and justice for all families dealing with their investigative processes. Sign this petition to stand for accountability and integrity in child welfare cases. Together, we can protect families from the trauma of unjustly losing their children.
