Dear Town & County officials.

We, the undersigned residents and community members, are deeply concerned about the unsafe traffic and pedestrian conditions on Old Nyack Turnpike in Monsey, NY.

With increased residential and institutional development on both sides of the roadway, families and children are forced to cross a busy, fast-moving street with no adequate pedestrian safety or traffic-calming measures in place. The situation has become increasingly dangerous and requires immediate attention.

While we support responsible neighborhood growth and welcome new projects, we respectfully urge the Town of Ramapo & rockland County officials to prioritize and finalize a traffic-calming and pedestrian-safety solution for Old Nyack Turnpike before approving or implementing further developments that will increase traffic in the area.

We ask the Town & County to act urgently so improvements can be implemented as soon as possible, ideally before the upcoming summer season, when pedestrian activity increases significantly.

Our community stands united in support of this request and looks forward to working cooperatively with Town & County officials to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
