Over 100 concerned residents (and counting), in less than 24 hours, have agreed and signed asking for a comprehensive traffic study to be conducted before the Village Planning Board changes the face of quaint Fishkill forever. Thank you!

It has come to our attention that the Village Planning Board Chair, Hans Klingzahn, also holds the seat of Dutchess County Planning and Development Board Chair. We feel this is a conflict of interest. The County Planning Board is depended upon to take an objective look at municipal plans and give honest feedback. Mr. Klingzahn should recuse himself from participating in County discussions regarding this project.

We are reasonably requesting a comprehensive traffic study, overseen by Dutchess County, to include portions of the Town of Fishkill and the Village of Fishkill that will be dramatically impacted by a large-scale complex in the center of the Village.

Some would have residents believe it's a "done deal", but we say it is not a done deal. Residents have the right and responsibility to come together with reasonable requests to assure a good quality of life for ourselves.
