ETERNAL CONSTANT TRUE DHARM

We at Pranam Movement request the Government of Bharat, to change the name of ‘Hinduism' to ‘Sanatan Dharm’ in the Constitution of India as well as all official references to Hindu religion. 

Sanatan is the eternal dharm of a human for the body mind and soul, for full blossoming of life, whole and complete – poorn. It is about universal oneness, loving all. Sanatan dharm is based on the Laws of Nature and Universal mechanism. Dharm means - right conduct on every plane, inwards and outwards. 

The word ‘Hindu’ itself is not mentioned in the Upanishads, Geeta and Ramayan. Even in the Geeta, Arjun is addressed by Shri Krishn as Bharata -- one who lives in Bharat. 

Our Vedic knowledge and gyan, captured and recorded by our seer-scientists is Universal, meant for the welfare of humanity and whole creation. The name ‘Hindu’ was derived from the word ‘Sindhu’ – for people who were part of ‘Sindhu ghati sabhyata’ – Indus valley civilisation – which flourished along with the river Indus and was most progressive. 

Over centuries, realising the naturally scientific temper of Sanatan Dharm the western world started mixing their own thoughts with our ancient wisdom and then propagating these as their own. Our youth, impressed and attracted by these has been thoroughly confused. As a result, most of our younger generation does not relate to the greatness of the wisdom and knowledge of Sanskrit and Hindi. They also are unaware of the subtleties of our grand culture, while many great western scientist and luminaries have been inspired by Sanatan Satya Dharm, be it Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawkins, or Steve Jobs. The divine heritage of Bharat, replete with soul power and wisdom is appreciated worldwide.

It is time now for Bharat to stand up and assert its true unbroken heritage and lineage. Hence it is essential that all those who follow so called Hinduism are identified as followers of ‘Sanatan Dharm’.

Words full of vision and wisdom have been written and spoken. Now time is for Karm – action, to walk the talk. Across all strata of society there is a revival and re-awakening of those who truly believe in the values inculcated by Bharatiye culture.

Her focus is to create a collective force of like-minded people who are working for the cause of reviving the glory of Bharat….Let us join hands to work according to this call of time.
