Dear and Respected Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi ji,
Many congratulations on naming your office Seva Teerth and reinstating the identity of our NCR as Teerath, as documented in the Mahabharata, Narad Puran, Indraprastha Mahatmaya and other ancient texts.
1. The BJP government, under your inspiring leadership, has been taking remarkable initiatives to re-awaken ‘Bhartiyata’ and connect with Sanatan Sanskriti. This gave a great boost to many of us, nationalist independent scholars, experts on astronomical dating of ancient events, retired and serving academicians from fields of Sanskrit and ancient history, archaeologists, epigraphists, oceanographers, climatologists, etc. This group of eminent scientists and scholars has been associated with our 22-year-old Draupadi Dream Trust for almost two decades; it was also associated with the Institute of Scientific Research on the Vedas for a decade.
2. Thus, the recent ‘googly’ thrown by the Education Ministry’s Text Books has really baffled and clean bowled us – a dedicated group of nationalist scholars (listed below) selflessly engaged, since almost two decades, in de-colonizing the chronology and interpretation of Bharat’s civilization, history/Itihasa via scientific, multi-disciplinary research, publication and propagation. We had been disturbed by earlier textbooks for misrepresenting our Vedic and Aryan roots, ignoring important cultural heritage, historical rulers and kingdoms, restricting ancient Bharatiya Civilisation and history to merely 4-5 pages of distorted writing, while giving hundreds of pages to glorification of Medieval and Colonial history, especially of the Muslim invaders and Mughal kings. But current Textbooks of Social Sciences for Grades 6 & 7 are worse because they still follow the colonial, outdated chronology of civilization of Bharat and severely undermine India’s ancient cultural heritage. It was shocking to read India is a sacred land but no Temple image, only of other sects. These Text Books smell of deep conspiracy against Viksit ‘Bharat’.
3. While we speak of Decolonisation, we make a foreigner as Chairman of the NCERT Text Book committee, and have no domain experts representing various aspects and parts of Bharat? School Education is the Foundation stone for every child, and what we teach has to be research-based and in synergy with our culture, civilisation and Itihasa. The original archaeological reports by R. D. Banerjee on the excavations at Mohenjo-Daro established a date sequence of 3300-1300 BCE. The damage done by John Marshal to the research and date of the stratigraphic layers determined by Archaeologist Shri R.D Banerjee is still being followed, thereby demeaning the antiquity of Bharatiya Civilization.
4. The Draupadi Dream Trust was established for research, publication and propagation of Bhartiya Sabhyata, Sanskriti, Itihasa and empowering youth with Knowledge and Skills. Besides facilitating scientific exploration and excavations (especially at Vedic Samrajya Kampilya), the Trust, initiated in 2010, with Shri Ajit K. Doval ji (current NSA), founder of Vivekanand International Foundation, a series of International Conferences on the deep roots/antiquity of our civilisation, Sanskriti and Itihasa. Similarly, the Institute of Scientific Research on the Vedas was established in Hyderabad in 2006. Its Delhi chapter was active during 2009-2017, and was blessed with inspiration and guidelines from Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on how to rewrite, on a verifiable scientific basis, the history of the culture and civilisation of Bharat. Many books were also authored, including the “Ramayan Ki Kahani, Vigyan ki Zubani,” presented to your honour by Yogi Ji on 30th November, 2019.
5. Since 2009-2010, leading scholars from the fields of Sanskrit, Chronology, Linguistics, and scientists from Astronomy, Archaeology, Anthropology, Epigraphy, Climatology, Oceanography, Remote-sensing, etc. have presented the latest research at more than twenty national and international seminars and conferences by these Trusts. The topics covered included the Indus, Saraswati, and Ganga civilizations described in the Rigveda, the continuity of this civilization through the Yajurveda, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Atharvaveda Eras. Special efforts were made by the Draupadi D’ Trust to determine the timelines of the Kurukshetra Yuddh at its Tithi Shashtrarth (Jan 2021 and Dec 2025).
6. Besides our Trusts, remarkable work has also been done by some of our associated scholars who have published works on chronology, epigraphy, astronomical dating of the Kurukshetra War, the Rigvedic people, Indus Saraswati Civilization etc.
7. Archaeological and Civilization Continuity: Excavations at over 3,200 sites along the Sarasvati–Indus–Ganga basins confirm continuous habitation for ten millennia. Sites like Mehrgarh (8000 BCE), Rakhigarhi (6000 BCE), and Lahuradeva (6000 BCE) display a material culture—ceramics, jewellery, and crops—that matches ancient textual descriptions. Vedic people reached the Zenith of Civilisation during 3500 to 2000 BCE, which was the Mahabharat Era, not Harappan. Bharat never entered into any dark age.
Highlights of select findings from Draupadi Dream Trusts Intl Conferences- why colonial mindsets does not consider our itihasa as history and uses words like proto history and pre-history, also neglecting our deep timeline of historical events.
8. Special attention to following facts –
a. Rigveda date minimum 7000 BCE (2015 paper by Shri Ashok Bhatnagar, Min. of Earth Sciences at our Int’l Conf. The Indus Saraswati- Harrappa Civilization vis a vis Rigveda, publication 2017, BRPL New Delhi).
b. Meaning and Methodology and timelines of Itihasa – ‘Itihasa’ means ‘as it happened’ and its Methodology is via ‘frame-tales/ stories narrated in poetic verses, because printing press did not evolve, and teaching was oral. Poetically narrated tales had ease of retention and remembrance. Time frame in Bhartiya Civilization is circular, as opposed to linear time lines followed by colonial historians. Itihas is as much ‘historical’ as ‘modern history’ because both cover events, people, location, time frames (2017 Intl Conf Mahabharata Manthan, 2019 publication BRPL New Delhi).
c. Date of Kurukshetra War narrated in sacred Granth Mahabharata – between 3200-300 BCE, Tithi Sashtrarth 2025.
d. Bharatiya civilization and itihasa are so deep rooted that they have been divided into Yugas i.e Satyug (time of the vedic Kings), Tretayug (time of Sri Ram), Dwaparyug (time of Sri Krishna), Kalyug (up to 1192 A.D- defeat of Prithvi Raj Chauhan) and Ghor Kalyug (1192 A.D Onwards).
It appears that the Social Sciences text books of 6 & 7, have been written by people who have not done any Research on Bharat. Also, the books reveal attempt dilute and gradually wipe out the antiquity and identity of Sanatana Bharat. We sincerely believe that such injustice cannot be done under your leadership. We also believe that the beliefs and narratives are created by the school and college books. We need to be cautious about recreation of false and destructive narratives! Thereby we earnestly request the following-
(a) Decolonizing the Chronology of Bhartiya Sabhyata and Sanskriti
(b) Withdrawal of the latest faulty NCERT Social Sciences Books of Grades 6 & 7 titled Exploring Society: India and Beyond,
(c) Reconstitution of NCERT, IKS, UGC Committees for writing new School and College Text Books, by including domain experts of Bharat’s cultural and historical heritage.
Scholars involved in over two decades of research on Bhartiya Sabhayata and Itihasa sincerely look forward to justice being done to our cultural and historical heritage by writing and teaching truth in our schools and colleges.

Misrepresented Culture: When we read chapters on ‘OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE AND KNOWLEDGE TRADITIONS’, which describe India’s cultural and sacred roots, we were stunned and shaken. Here is a glimpse into those distorted contents, which are capable of demolishing national pride: New NCERT Social Science Books for Grades 6 and 7 teach our children that after the emergence of Harappan Metropolitan towns in 2500 BCE and their total destruction in 2000 BCE, India entered the dark age for the next 800 years. These books will ensure that our future generations never dare to think that India ever belonged to the Hindus/ Sanatanis, or that the Hindus/ Sanatanis have any claim over its heritage. There is no scope left in these books for treating the Vedas, the Epics, and post-Vedic literature as our historical and cultural heritage. These describe:
1. All the components of Harappan urban civilisation disappeared - its buildings, streets, markets, specialized occupations like potters & weavers, writing system, sanitation system and urban structure, and administrative set up disappeared, and India entered the dark age for the next 800 years.
2. From 1200 BCE, some Janapadas emerged, out of which some Mahajanapadas emerged by 800 BCE. The birth of Mahatma Buddha is dated to the 6th century BCE, and that of Chandra Gupta Maurya to the 4th century BCE.
3. Every care has been taken that the expressions, such as Sanatan, Hindus, and Hindu Temples, are not mentioned anywhere in these Books. The Vedas have been dismissed as a compilation of prayers and rituals, creating a clear impression among young minds that they contain no knowledge.
4. Theme C, Chapter 7 of the Grade 6 Book describes India’s cultural roots. Reference is made to the names Vedas, in particular the Rigveda. However, it has been described as a compilation of prayers to Indra, Agni, Varuna, Sarasvati, and Ushas, composed in verses. It also describes the Vedas as dealing with rituals, such as Yagyas, giving the clear impression that the Vedas contain no knowledge. Completely denying the scientific knowledge of the Brahmaand/ Nature and life systems of the Universe explained in the Vedas.
5. Theme C, Chapter 8 of the Grade 6 Book describes the Ramayan and Mahabharata as stories (not history). The only image shown to the sixth-class kids is of Ravana abducting Sita (Pg. 134), ensuring that the images of Shri Ram and Shri Krishna are not shown to these children. The NCERT books would succeed in convincing the young minds that Hindus should not believe that Ayodhya, Panchavati, Kishkindha, Rameswaram, etc., are historical and sacred sites from the Ramayan Era.
6. Chapter 8 of the Grade 7, Part 1 book describes that the land of Bharat is considered sacred because it has places sacred to many religions, such as Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, etc. The expressions "Hindus" or "Hindu Temples" have been strictly avoided.
7. Chapter 8 includes images of Dargah, Church, Gurudwara, etc., but not even one image of any temple is shown. There is no mention of the temples, which are architectural wonders and more than 1200 years old, such as the Meenakshi and Brihadisvara Temples of Tamil Nadu, the Kailasa Temple of Maharashtra. After reading these books, our young minds will never even imagine that India ever belonged to Hindus, and their ancients built some great temples that are architectural and astronomical wonders.
8. Chapter 5 of Grade 7, part 2 describes that India has been home to Christians, Jews, Parsis, Arabs, Armenians, Bahais and Buddhists of Tibet, but it is nowhere mentioned that India has ever been the home to Hindus, or that they were the original natives of India. Therefore, our young children, on growing up, will not believe that Hindus were the original natives of Bharat, and that they have any right to declare it as their original Homeland.
There are 140 Christian countries and > 50 Muslim countries in the world. These religions came into existence only around 2000-1600 years ago. Hindus have nurtured the Greater Bharatvarsh for at least 9000 years. Being too tolerant, they are left with only one country which Hindus can (only partially) call their own. Why are these NCERT books poisoning the young minds by denying even this fact?
The most sacrosanct and undeniable truth is that the Vedas are the compilation of ancient knowledge, and the Epics represent the ancient history of Bharat, which was a Hindu/ Vedic land. Hindus/ Sanatani allowed everyone to come and get settled. Hindus/ Sanatani were converted and slaughtered in millions by the Islamic invaders; even then, many survived, saved Sanatan and Hindu Dharma and rebuilt some temples. From the richest country (Sone ki Chidiya) in the world one thousand years ago, we were turned into the poorest country when the Britishers left 75 years ago.
1. Astronomical Dates of Planetary References in Vedic and post-Vedic texts: Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Pushkar Bhatnagar, Ashok Bhatnagar, and Saroj Bala determined dates for the Ramayana Era (5200-5000 BCE). Ashok Bhatnagar and Saroj Bala determined dates of the Rigveda and Yajurveda references (7100-5400 BCE). Kota Venkatachelam, Saroj Bala, Vedveer Arya, Jayasree Saranathan, Narahari Achar wrote books on dates of Mahabharata events (3200-3050 BCE).
2. Archaeology: Jarrige on the Mehrgarh Excavations (Indus areas- 9000-4000 BP), Shinde and Rao on Rakhigarhi & Bhirrana excavations (Sarasvati basin- 8000-3000 BP), Rakesh Tiwari on Lahuradeva excavations (Ganga Region- 8000-3000 BP). The original archaeological reports by R. D. Banerjee on the excavations at Mohenjo-Daro established a date sequence of 3300-1300 BCE, including temples dating to 3200 BCE and Buddha Stupas dating to 1400 BCE. However, these reports were forfeited by John Marshal, the then DG, ASI, who wrote distorted reports, providing a date sequence of 2500-1900 BCE and clarifying that Indian civilization cannot be placed before Mesopotamia, and that the mythological Aryan invasion theory has to be retained to honor Macaulay Minutes. From Nehru onwards, the leftists dominated education and taught only Marshall’s report, whose dictates are still followed by Archaeologists.
3. Epigraphy / Inscriptional Evidence: M. L. Raja recorded 905 inscriptions written in Kali Samvat beginning in 3101 (3102 BCE), Vedveer Arya compiled the history of the entire Bharatvarsh based on Inscriptional & genealogical Evidence.
4. Climate and Oceanography: Reports from the International Commission on Stratigraphy and the NIO of Goa perfectly align with the timelines of the Vedic and Epic Eras listed above (Glacial Maximum of the Rigveda era, mid-Holocene climatic optima of the Ramayan era, Balanced climate giving rise to prosperous metropolises during the Mahabharat era, wrongly described as Harappan following Marshall.
5. Remote Sensing Imagery: J R Sharma and B K Bhadra of ISRO Jodhpur Centre proved the timelines and sequence of Rivers flowing or dried up, proving the sequence from the beginning of the Rigvedic Times right up to the Mahabharata Era.
6. Paleobotanic Evidence: Reports of Jarrige for Indus Region flora (7000-4000 BCE); Pokharial and Rakesh Tiwary for the Middle Ganga Plains; Dikshit and Mani compiled vast data for Sarasvati sites (5600-2800 BCE).
7. Genealogies: The Bhagavat Purana, Vishnu Purana, and other texts provide comprehensive genealogies of ancient rulers, from Manu to Vikramaditya, spanning 8,000 years from the Holocene to the beginning of the Christian era. Timelines were cross-verified against the Vedas, Epics, and Buddhist literature, which mention names of some kings from those dynasties.
8. Reconstructed chronology: Uninterrupted kings and dynasties from Vaivasvata Manu onward. The Vedic Aryans ruled Indraprastha (Modern Delhi) from Emperor Yudhishthira to Emperor Yashpal (124 Kings), spanning 4157 years. (Books by Pandit Kota Venkatachelam and a comprehensive five-volume work by Vedveer Arya.
9. Books correlating these scientific proofs with astronomical dates of the Planetary references: Saroj Bala edited or authored books, such as Historicity of the Vedic and Ramayan Eras, Ramayan Retold with Scientific Evidence, Mahabharat Retold with Scientific Evidence, and a book still to be published. Rigveda to Chanakya: Stars and Science Rewrite the History of Bharat.
All the above-referred and hundreds of other research-based books prove that the timelines and achievements of the Vedic and Epic Eras of Bharat, given by Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam in his inaugural address on 30.7.2011, were correct (More details on - www.rigvedatorobotics.com

The Aryas ruled in Indraprastha (Modern Delhi) from the time of the Emperor Yudhishthra down to that of the Emperor Yashpal. Total number Rulers = 124 approx. Period covered = 4,157 years, 9 months and 14 days. Average age = 33 or 34 years approx. (reference – Indraprastha Revisited, 2017 based on references of Swami Dayanand Saraswati derived from Journals published from Nathdwara Temple, Rajasthan). (The genealogies after the Christian Era have been fully explained sequentially by Shri Vedveer Arya and Pandit Kota Venkatachelam. Since there were multiple kings ruling in different regions, their sequential summaries are under preparation).
Hundreds of books are available in the market, written by learned scientists and knowledgeable scholars who have established the above timelines from Manu to Vikramaditya with verifiable evidence in their respective disciplines (the List is readily available).
Thanking you with warm good wishes and profound regards:
