In February, South Kesteven District Council unexpectedly removed the swings from the Wild Witham Play Park in South Witham, which it owns and manages, without prior warning or consultation. While I believe that removing equipment should automatically lead to its replacement, I’ve learned that there’s no guarantee of this happening in this case.

We need to unite and make our voices heard. It’s crucial that the Council understands it must properly maintain and improve its play parks. We expect them to invest not only in Grantham’s play parks, but also in rural areas like ours. We must ensure they aren’t simply removing equipment without plans to replace it.

With half a year having passed, it’s time for the Council to demonstrate its commitment to our community. Please sign this petition and share it with your fellow residents to show the strong demand for new swings at the Wild Witham Play Park. It’s a matter of fairness that we see new swings installed promptly.
