I am a student at Mumbai University, and like many others, I am about to face semesters exams amidst a soaring heatwave that is sweeping across Maharashtra. This weather isn't just uncomfortable; it's extreme, and it directly affects our ability to concentrate, retain information, and perform to the best of our abilities during exams.

Amid these testing times, we are fortunate to have air conditioning units installed in our college premises. However, it's regrettable that, despite being installed a year ago, these AC units remain inoperable due to a lack of power connection. While they were intended to provide a conducive environment for effective learning and examination, they have become mere ornamental fixtures.

It is imperative that the authorities of Mumbai University take immediate action to address this issue. By ensuring the powering of these air conditioning units, they can significantly alleviate the discomfort and strain on students, thus fostering a better environment for exams.

Utilizing already installed resources is neither extravagant nor unnecessary; it's a rational step to ensure student welfare and academic performance. With temperatures soaring to dangerous levels, these measures are necessary and overdue.

I urge my fellow batchmates and concerned citizens to join me in requesting Mumbai University's authorities to enable the AC units during the upcoming semester exams. This small change can make a significant difference in our academic experiences and performance amidst this pressing heatwave.
