This is a deeply personal issue for me because I reside in Streatham Wells and I believe that the current Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) enforcement period imposed by the Lambeth Council will prove detrimental to the residents and visitors  rather than beneficial. Instead of the entire day, I propose it to be reduced to a period of 12:00-14:00.  From a fair point of view, neighbourhoods similar to ours have experienced the positive effects of a 2-hour restriction - peaceful neighbourhoods and more available parking spaces (Source: Department for Transport's Residential Parking Review, 2018). Other areas of Streatham adjacent to Wells have a 2 hour enforcement window. Adopting a similar period in Streatham Wells would bring balance between the need for restricted parking to avoid congestion and the rights of local residents to access hassle-free parking near their homes.
The longer enforcement period will be detrimental to the businesses om the High Road.
