I am deeply disappointed and concerned regarding the actions and behavior of Trustee Wise at the recent Board of Education meeting. While the discussion surrounding his presence at the Palestine protest is a separate issue, it is his subsequent conduct that truly demands our attention. 

The hateful words he shouted, as witnessed by many, paint a disturbing picture of his character and judgment. It is clear that Trustee Wise does not take the gravity of his position or the impact of his words seriously. His recent post on Facebook only reinforces this perception, demonstrating a callous disregard for the feelings and sensitivities of those he is supposed to represent.

It is utterly unacceptable for someone with such demonstrably bigoted views to hold a position of power within our school district. Trustee Wise's actions are a direct contradiction to the values of inclusivity and respect that we strive to uphold within our community. His presence on the board sends a harmful message to students, families, and community members, and undermines the integrity of the entire BOE.

The majority of board members rightfully condemned Trustee Wise's actions, passing a resolution stating their disapproval and non-support of his words. This is a commendable step, but it is not enough. The community deserves more than mere disapproval – we need concrete action.

I urge the BOE to seriously consider the implications of Trustee Wise's behavior and to hold him accountable for his actions. His presence on the board is a threat to the well-being and future of our children. He must be removed from his position to ensure that our school district truly offers a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all.
