Request for Transparency and Review of NIFT Entrance Examination Results
Request for Transparency and Review of NIFT Entrance Examination Results
The Issue
To,
The National Testing Agency (NTA),
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT),
Ministry of Education, Government of India
We, the undersigned students, parents, educators, and concerned members of the design education community, respectfully request a review of concerns raised regarding the recently declared NIFT Entrance Examination results.
Several aspirants have reported issues including:
• Candidates allegedly being marked “Absent” despite appearing for the examination.
• Significant discrepancies between expected and received scores.
• Lack of clarity regarding the evaluation process, particularly for subjective components such as CAT.
• Difficulty understanding how marks were awarded or deducted.
We fully respect the examination process and the efforts of the authorities. However, given the importance of this examination in determining the academic future of thousands of students, we believe that transparency and clarity are essential.
We respectfully request:
A review of reported attendance-related discrepancies.
A mechanism for students to report and resolve result-related concerns.
Greater transparency regarding the evaluation process.
Clarification on score calculation and assessment criteria wherever possible.
Timely communication addressing the concerns being raised by aspirants.
Students dedicate months, and often years, of preparation towards this examination. They deserve confidence in the fairness, accuracy, and transparency of the process.
We request the concerned authorities to consider these concerns and provide appropriate clarification and support to affected candidates.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Concerned NIFT Aspirants, Parents, Educators, and Supporters
