REQUEST FOR RESIDENTIAL MAIL DELIVERY SERVICE REVIEW

We, the undersigned residents and property owners of Glenwood Landing, New York 11547, respectfully request a formal review of the continued absence of residential mail delivery service within our community.

Glenwood Landing is a well-established residential community in Nassau County, New York. Despite being surrounded by neighboring communities that receive standard residential mail delivery—including Brookville, Sea Cliff, Glen Head, Roslyn Harbor, and others—residents of Glenwood Landing remain dependent upon post office boxes for receipt of their mail.

Many residents are required to travel to the post office simply to receive routine correspondence, medications, government notices, financial documents, and packages. This arrangement places a particular burden upon senior citizens, residents with mobility limitations, and working families.

We respectfully request that the United States Postal Service:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the current delivery status of Glenwood Landing, New York 11547.

• Provide a public explanation of the historical and regulatory basis for the absence of residential mail delivery service.

• Determine whether Glenwood Landing currently meets all applicable criteria for the establishment of residential carrier delivery.

• Clarify the rights of residents regarding no-fee post office box service when residential delivery is unavailable.

• Consider implementing residential mail delivery service for the residents of Glenwood Landing.

We believe the residents of Glenwood Landing deserve equal consideration and access to postal services comparable to those provided in neighboring communities throughout Nassau County.

By signing this petition,  we respectfully request action and a written response from the United States Postal Service and our elected representatives.
