Thomas Richard Suozzi, born in 1962, is an accomplished American politician, attorney, accountant, and consultant. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Suozzi has represented New York's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023 and resumed this role in 2024. Before serving in Congress, he made a significant impact as the county executive of Nassau County on Long Island from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that, Suozzi was the mayor of Glen Cove from 1994 to 2001, where he honed his leadership skills. Known for his expertise in law and governance, Suozzi has been a prominent figure in New York politics, consistently advocating for his community and progressive policies.
