The Issue

I'm an eligible untainted school teacher of WB. I along with other 19459 meritorious, untainted, eligible school teachers and non-teaching staffs deeply affected by the recent Supreme Court verdict dated 03rd April, 2025 and rendered jobless after six years satisfactory services. In the name of accountability and fairness, entire panel of 2016 has resulted in the mass termination of even those teachers who were adjudicated as untainted by the court itself.

Despite the Supreme Court's distinction between "Tainted" & "Untainted" categories, the judgement has, regrettably, invalidated the service of 19459 untainted eligible teachers and non-teaching staffs rendering their helpless and dejected on ground of the selection processes involved being violative of Articles 14 & 16 of Constitution of India. We, the untainted teachers are now facing several emotional distress, social alienation, economic hardship, all without fault of our own. Treating teachers seleted through fair means and own merit on par with tainted and corrupted teachers is a serious injustice. If we don't get justice, we will suicide or burn ourselve infront of the Supreme Court.
Terminating us will force lakhs of students into classrooms without adequate teachers and education system in West Bengal will destroy.

We are earnestly requesting all Hon'ble concerned to consider our request favourably and on humanitarian ground and urge the Chief Justice of The Supreme Court to reconsider it's judgement and ensure that untainted candidates selected through fair means and by our merit are allowed to continue our service with full dignity.

Sign this petition and support our call for fairness and justice.
