We urgently request that Facebook take immediate action on the page “Find Mamta Kafle Bhatt” (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563893469372 which has accumulated over 10,000 likes and 14,000 followers and is being administered by Nadia. Our request is based on serious public concerns regarding the misuse of the page, which was initially created with the good intent of aiding the search for Mamta Kafle Bhatt, but has later been exploited for personal use.

Reasons for Our Request:

Censorship and Blocking: Nadia has been blocking hundreds of individuals who express concerns on the page. Facebook users are reporting that they have been blocked for merely posting comments and asking questions. They are unable to report the page as they can no longer access the page. She has selectively kept only posts and comments that portray her in a favorable light, and thus misguiding followers of the page. This practice undermines the public’s right to ask questions and seek information and also conflicts with Facebook’s Community Standards, which are designed to protect freedom of expression, and right for correct information. We condemn censorship and every law abiding citizen has right to comment on a page of public interest. 

Misuse for Personal Agendas:  The page was initially established by Nadia to support the search efforts for Mamta Kafle Bhatt. However, Nadia has later used the page to advance her own personal interests, routines and agendas, gather sympathy, diverting the focus away from its original purpose. Nadia even does not go to court hearings, and update public on important matters regarding finding Mamta.

Interference with Law Enforcement: Nadia has been questioned by the City of Manassas Park Police Department in connection to the Mamta Bhatt case. This raises concerns about her role and intentions with respect to the page. She is using the page to defend her involvement and solicit sympathy and cultivate a group of devoted supporters, whom she appears to be misleading.

Misappropriation of Funds: There is evidence that Nadia solicited GoFundme donations using the page for the care of Mamta Kafle’s 1-year-old daughter, but later announced that these funds would not be transferred as promised. This constitutes a serious breach of trust and financial scam/fraud.

Promotion of Unrelated Campaigns: The page has been used by Nadia to promote unrelated personal GoFundMe campaigns (financial scams) that have no connection to Mamta Kafle Bhatt’s search efforts. This misuse diverts attention and resources from the genuine search and support efforts. 

Public Outcry: There has been significant public outcry about Nadia's actions. The situation is escalating everyday, leading to bullying, harassment and trolling in different Facebook groups. 

The situation is creating a hostile environment for everyone involved.

She was unable to bring people together for the cause, and lack effective leadership skills required for the search efforts and administration of the facebook page of such sensitive nature.

In light of these serious issues, we respectfully urge Facebook to:

Investigate the Misuse: Conduct a thorough investigation into the activities associated with the page and the actions of Nadia.
Assess Blocking Practices: Review and address the blocking of users who raised legitimate concerns about the page’s management and activities.
Suspend the Page: Remove censorship on the page otherwise suspend/remove the page to prevent further misuse.
