Additionally, the road is uniquely positioned in close proximity to two play areas, a primary school, and a preschool. These facilities, coupled with the frequent movement of children and families walking through the estate to access the country park extension, result in a high concentration of pedestrian activity along and around this road.

We understand from the council's webpage on speed limits, control, and community speed watch that West Northamptonshire Council is supportive of 20mph restrictions in areas where vulnerable road users tend to be at risk. Abbotsbury Drive fits this category perfectly, as it serves as a key route for children and families accessing local amenities.

Furthermore, we appreciate the council's evidence-led approach to evaluating speed limit amendments, as outlined on the webpage.
