WITH OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT EXPANDING TO ACCOMMODATE A HIGH SCHOOL, I FORESEE MORE THROUGH TRAFFIC AND VISITORS FOR ACADEMIC EVENTS AND SPORTS. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE THIS HANDY WHEN YOU'RE DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP YOUR CHILD FROM SCHOOL AND YOU CAN STOP HERE FOR QUICK SHOPPING WITHOUT THE CONVENIENCE STORE PRICING! YOU LIVE IN WESTHOFF OR SMILEY AND YOUR CHILD CALLS BECAUSE THEY FORGOT TO TELL YOU THEY NEEDED SOMETHING FOR SCHOOL EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW FOR A WEEK! NOW YOU DON'T HAVE TO RUN TO CUERO, YORKTOWN, OR NIXON BEFORE HEADING TO THE SCHOOL!

We, the undersigned residents, parents, and community members of Westhoff, Texas, formally request that Dollar General establish a new DG Market at the corner of FM 240 and US Highway 87. Our community is growing rapidly, yet we are currently a severe food desert, requiring a 15-mile journey to the nearest grocery store for fresh produce, meat, and daily essentials.
