As passionate players and long-standing supporters of the Total War franchise. I write to urge Creative Assembly to resume development of Total War: Three Kingdoms, a title that still draws in a dedicated and sizeable player base but remains burdened by unresolved issues and unrealized potential.

Despite its strong sales, critical praise, and unique focus on one of China’s most fascinating historical periods, Total War: Three Kingdoms development was prematurely concluded in 2021, with key content still missing and several bugs and balance issues left unaddressed.

I call on CA to fulfil earlier content promises, including: The Northern Expansion, teased and hinted at in earlier communications and art & a Three Kingdoms-era start date, a fan-requested feature aligning with the game’s namesake and spirit. Alongside a patching initiative to bring some quality of life improvements to the many bugs & balancing issues that remain.

A final wave of support or content, no matter how modest, would restore faith, reinvigorate the player base, and honour the commitment made to fans who believed in this vision. A Pharaoh: Dynasties edition type treatment for Three Kingdoms would surely be the final send off the game deserves.
