Chammundi Hill Road, stretching from Sangolli Rayanna Circle up to the Arch, has become increasingly hazardous due to the rise in traffic and human activity. The recent surge in the number of stores, restaurants, and the regular influx of visitors to the temple has considerably increased the foot traffic in this area. Moreover, this road serves as a vital connection for the residents of the surrounding areas.

The unfortunate reality is that this road has seen a spike in accidents. Most notably, last year witnessed a significant accident, and just last month, a tragic incident led to the death of an elderly individual on a two-wheeler. Such incidents highlight the dire need for improved safety measures along this busy stretch.

We propose the immediate installation of speed breakers and speed sensors along this road. Speed breakers will naturally slow down vehicles, reducing the likelihood of accidents. Speed sensors can alert authorities about vehicles exceeding safe speed limits, allowing for timely interventions.

These measures not only promise to enhance the safety of the road for pedestrians and motorists but also ensure a more harmonious coexistence of commercial, residential, and religious visitors to the area. Protecting lives should be our foremost priority, and taking these steps will secure the safety and peace of mind for everyone who uses this road.
