I've been contacting the government on the state and local level as well as the university as I needed to contact stakeholders to help with my proposal. I've contacted cycling advocacy groups as well. I've left voicemails with assistant directors, associate directors, and all these other high-up people they want me to contact and everything. I get to experience bureaucracy. I've been redirected to so many things and have called Marshall literally 10 times because their Pedestrian Safety Task Force was listed as a stakeholder. I also appreciate all the other people who have been signing it, as few as it may be in comparison to some. It still feels accomplished and 30 is better than just a few or zero. I have had to write down so many numbers and departments.
Also, thank you Ella for chipping in to promote my petition. I appreciate it very much. It makes me happy and I would like for others to do so if they are able. Any bit does help. It helps make it visible and get it out to more people, increasing the odds of a signature and increasing the amount.
I would also like other people to try to reach out to the government and to advocacy groups so we can show this matters and how many people support it and want to make change in the community.
