Happy Labor Day! May it be a peaceful one. Happy to share - our numbers are growing exponentially! Neighbors and allies are standing up for change including respected leader, NJ Senator Vin Gopal and his staff who participated in recent calls with coalition members and joined our coalition, demonstrating their commitment to standing strong for transformed emergency systems in Neptune City.

We are proud to have the support of Senator Gopal, a longtime champion of first responders and community and are grateful for the power his involvement brings to our cause.

The Peace in Neptune City Coalition continues to grow as neighbors build lasting solidarity around transforming the broken horn notification system in our otherwise peaceful town. The science is clear. Noise is bad for your health. It is most harmful to children who deserve a back to school season free of constant threat of alarm. Kids deserve an environment where they cay sleep, play, study, and relax free from hazard. 

Our coalition is united for systems that we can trust and that do no harm. Since the coalition letter was received by the town, sadly, the ratio of false alarms has spiked, prompting serious questions about what the town is using the horn for at all. We found that more than 50% of recent horn sirens do not appear to be related to emergency calls on record. We say, enough harm, time for change!
