Neptune City plays house while harming community Moms on Mother's Day. Our communities' mothers deserve respect, instead Neptune City offered more unneeded and harmful horns.
Moms and families were treated again today to bombardment from the completely unnecessary, yet shocking and alarming town "hero horn". our community coalition has already proven this is an obsolete, harmful, and false alarm tool.
Mothers want peace, for themselves, their babies, and their communities. Instead of listening to the good people of our community, the town officials in Neptune City continue to play pretend with a stress-inducing and obsolete communication system.
Keep your flowers, we want peace!
It makes no sense to use a tornado siren intended for public alerts to evacuate as a call to respond from volunteer response teams. it is insulting to our beloved first responders who know well that being on call includes having on hand charged phones, pagers, and/or walkie talkies. Our response teams use quiet platforms to assemble more almost 100% of the time according to town reports in comparison with community horn observation logs, why then do they continue to wail on?
For Mother's Day, our communities' mothers deserve better. Shame on the town administration for continuing to subject mothers, children, and all life to the ongoing abuse of their out of date and abusive horn.
While we ask for information from elected officials, we are ignored, attacked, or told to stay tuned as we await the next horn alarm. We will not be intimidated by bullying, we deserve peace and emergency systems that work for the people. It is just not right, and is downright disrespectful to the moms and families in town trying to make a peaceful life in a challenging world.
After you call or visit with your mother today, follow up on your outreach to the Mayor, the Town Horn Liaison, and the Council President, and tell them how you believe the mothers and children of our town should be respected. Tell them to retire the "hero horn" that we all know is not needed. Stop Hurting Our Community with a harmful horn device, we deserve respect and peace.
Happy Mothers Day!
In Peace and Unity,
