Peace in Neptune CityUnited States
May 8, 2024

Did you receive an update? Some were told to "stay tuned" or completely ignored, meanwhile, the horn wails on and we suffer. We cannot accept continued alarms that have no significance (according to town records), we must follow up and hold our public officials accountable to what we expect from those who serve our community. Those elected by the people should respect and listen to constituents.

Take Action! Follow up with your outreach to the Neptune City Mayor, the Neptune City Council President, or Neptune City Horn Liaison, tell them how about your experience with the obsolete system and that you stand strong for first responders and all in town for a transformed system.

With no information about what the people can expect around emergency response, what the noise of the town emergency communication device means, or if anyone in town will ever be able to know they will have peace again, we are living in a community where peace is disturbed daily, often multiple times a day by heart stopping noise.

Our electeds know those who are closest to the noise device are made miserable by its ongoing blaring, and that we all know this is an unsustainable, ineffective, and harmful communication system.

Community members are voicing our experiences living under the constant threat of alarm and at this point we have not seen from any elected leader the swift corrective action to eliminate this hazard from the environment called for by the community.

Stay tuned is just not enough. Our well-being is not a television serial. The community is in agreement, we support our responders and each other in transforming this harmful hazard that is the Neptune City emergency communication system into one that works for everyone. The horn has become a symbol of disrespect, we are united to change that together.

Follow up with those you reached and stand strong for a transformed and peaceful Neptune City.

In peace and unity!
