My fellow students of Godley, TX, I feel the pressing need to voice out a concern that has been the talk among us for quite some time now - Response to Intervention (RTI). As we are all aware, while RTI is designed to help struggling students, it has become a source of stress, particularly when assignments pile up. It's a common sentiment that RTI often subtracts from the valuable time many students need to complete these assignments.

In lieu of RTI, many of us have hoped for the reintroduction of a Home Room period. Home Room, by allowing students the time for assignment completion, social development, and personal support, impacts student growth far better than RTI. In many schools across the country, Home Room has proven valuable in improving the academic performance and emotional wellbeing of students. This change is urgently needed to enhance our academic environment and foster student success.

Recognizing that the well-being and academic success of our students in Godley, TX are crucial, I implore our school district to consider replacing RTI with Home Room. Sign this petition to let our voices be heard and improve the learning experience in our schools.
