Replace DreamBox Math in schools

Replace DreamBox Math in schools
The Issue
I’ve watched children develop a deep disdain for math, a subject that should inspire curiosity and problem-solving skills. This isn’t just the case with them; it’s a growing concern among many parents and educators. The culprit that stands out is the current use of DreamBox Math in schools. What was meant to be a tool that aids learning is instead causing frustration and disappointment in our kids, making them hate a vital subject like math.
DreamBox, although designed to adapt to each child’s learning pace, is frequently leading to repetitive and tedious exercises that fail to captivate students' interest or enhance their understanding. Instead of being a helpful educational support, it often becomes an obstacle that discourages them from engaging with math. This is not the fault of our kids, but a serious flaw in the way this tool is impacting their learning environment.
Our schools should inspire learning, excitement, and curiosity—not dread. We’ve heard the plea from kids and witnessed the dullness this program injects into their education. It’s time we consider using alternative resources that actually invigorate the love for learning and build solid mathematical understanding. Programs such as Khan Academy, Prodigy, or even teacher-designed curriculums have proven successful and could be more beneficial.
Research suggests that using a variety of interactive and engaging teaching methods can significantly improve students' mathematical abilities and attitudes towards learning. By replacing DreamBox Math with more effective tools, we can ensure that children are developing the skills they need while also loving the process.
Let’s work together to bring about this change in our schools for the betterment of our children’s education and future. Please sign this petition to urge our educational authorities to replace DreamBox Math with programs that truly benefit and inspire our children.
above is a Dreambox progress bar sized up 3-4X larger so close to finish, this is why Dreambox is hated.
