Doug Ford has become a leader who prioritizes personal gain over principles, and this is a betrayal to those who supported him under the promise of integrity and dedication to civil service. I previously stood by Doug Ford, believing in his initial promises to enhance community well-being and uphold responsibility to the citizens of Ontario. However, it has become abundantly clear that these promises were hollow, and his actions reveal a different agenda.

Doug Ford and his team set out to undermine the Federal Conservatives for the election on April 28th, 2025. At a critical time for Canada, when Canada needed a new direction the most, he not only didn't endorse the Federal Conservatives, his team set up to undermine them. This alone is inexcusable.

Here are other reasons:

While Doug Ford won the recent Ontario Election, he lost seats and the percentage of the popular vote, while asking for an increased mandate, he came out diminished.

Under his leadership, critical issues such as healthcare, education, and public welfare have suffered due to policy neglect and misdirection. Ford's administration has consistently favored privatization and corporate interests over the needs of everyday Ontarians. According to recent reports, the healthcare system faces significant challenges, with long wait times and understaffed facilities becoming the norm. This isn't the Ontario we envisioned under his leadership.

Moreover, the lack of transparency and accountability in Ford's dealings raises serious concerns. His controversial decisions, such as rolling back public health protections during a global pandemic and hiking tuition fees for students, further indicate a disregard for public opinion and benefit. Many Ontarians feel unheard and underrepresented as decisions are made without their welfare in mind.

We call for the organization of Ontario's Progressive Conservative Party to take immediate action and replace Doug Ford with a leader who genuinely values the principles of the party and desires to work earnestly for the betterment of Ontario. It is imperative that the Ontario PC harnesses its collective strength to choose a leader who listens, represents, and acts in the interest of all Ontarians.

I am urging all Ontario Progressive Conservative members to step forward and advocate for this critical change. Our province deserves leadership committed to genuine progress and accountability and who won't betray Conservative values on the national stage.
