Dear fellow citizens,

As we go about our daily lives, it is all too easy to forget the sacrifices that our brave soldiers make for our country. They put their lives on the line to defend our freedom and protect us from harm. It is our duty to honor their service and ensure that they are treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve.

But now, our soldiers are facing a new challenge - one that is making their lives even more difficult. The Department of Personnel has issued a policy that forces our soldiers to purchase air tickets from government PSUs, which are always costly. This policy is unfair and unjust, and it is causing our soldiers and their families untold hardship.

 

 

You see, our soldiers are entitled to travel by railway, but getting a confirmed ticket is a challenge. Many of them used to travel on unconfirmed tickets, next to the lavatory. It was an uncomfortable and undignified way to travel, but it was the only option they had. Then, the government decided to give them reimbursement for railway travel and allowed them to choose whatever mode of transport they wanted. Many soldiers began using air travel and paid the difference between the cheapest online fare and the railway fare they were entitled to.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But now, with this new policy, soldiers are being forced to book their air tickets through government agencies that are much more expensive. The difference in fare is adding an extra burden on their already limited resources, and they are being forced to bear the cost from their own pockets. This is not only unfair, but it is also an unnecessary hardship for our soldiers.

We cannot allow this policy to stand. We must come together as a nation and demand that the Department of Personnel repeal this policy immediately. Our soldiers deserve better. They deserve to travel in comfort and dignity, and they deserve to be treated with the respect and gratitude that they have earned through their service to our country.
