I am a resident of Motherwell, deeply affected by the closure of our beloved Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre. It's been 7 months since its doors were shut, leaving staff evicted with no information on the future of this significant building. This is not just a theatre; it's an integral part of our community, a place where we come together to celebrate art, culture, and unity.

The Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre is one of the biggest assets in our Council. Its importance cannot be overstated as it contributes significantly to local tourism and economy. Yet despite its significance, it seems to have fallen off the priority list for restoration.

We understand that there are budget constraints but leaving such an important asset in disrepair is unacceptable. The longer it remains closed, the more damage is done not only to the structure itself but also to our community spirit.

We urge those in power to take immediate action towards repairing and reopening this cultural gem. Let us bring back life into this cherished institution which has touched so many lives over years through its performances.
