We, the undersigned residents of Georgia District 7 and concerned citizens of the United States, urge you to take immediate action to secure the return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a legal resident wrongfully deported by the Trump administration to a notorious prison in El Salvador.

In violation of a court order protecting him from deportation, Mr. Abrego Garcia was unlawfully detained and sent to El Salvador, where he remains imprisoned under brutal conditions.  The judiciary, including a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court order, has condemned this illegal act and demanded his return - yet the Trump administration defied these rulings, threatening the very foundation of our rule of law.

This case is about more than one man: it strikes at the heart of due process protections for all Americans. If the Executive can deport legal residents - and potentially even citizens - in defiance of court orders, no one's rights are safe.

We call on Congressman McCormick to:

Publicly support the Supreme Court's Order.

Defend the authority of our courts and the rule of law.

Demand the immediate return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The rule of law must not be optional. Our democracy depends on it.
