Less than a week before the May elections someone made a threat to the San Antonio area schools.  This had many parents scared to send their kids to school but the districts took great measures to provide additional security.  That next week I watched as voters entered our school through a side entrance with no locks or security. The voters proceeded into the halls to a room that was right in between the children's classes. This is not safe and is an accident waiting to happen.  Voting is very important but in this day and age I think that we need to reevaluate the safety of this common practice.  Not all schools can accommodate voting booths that are away from the children, and that would provide a secure campus during voting time.  The safety of our children should be top priority every minute they are in school.  I want to see the voting booths moved to different public locations other than our schools.
