REOPEN NOLAN XAVIER WELLS CASE
The Issue
REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION INTO NOLAN XAVIER WELLS’ DEATH
Justice for Nolan. Answers for his family. transparency for everyone.
On July 4, 2026, 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells went to Horn Island, Mississippi, during a 4th of July boating trip.
The boat returned home.
The other people on the boat returned home.
Nolans cellphone and keys returned home.
But Nolan, never came home.
His body was recovered two days later. On July 6th, on Horn Island which was search multiple times prior to his body showing up.
Nolan’s death remains officially undetermined.
The Mississippi State Medical Examiner did not determine that Nolan drowned.
The official autopsy and the Independent autopsy’s both list the cause and manner of death as “undetermined.”
It also documented two contusions on the back of Nolan’s head.
Yet a grand jury concluded that the evidence was consistent with accidental drowning and returned no criminal indictment.
But serious questions remain.
WHAT REALLY HAPPEN TO NOLAN XAVIER WELLS?
At the September 24 press conference, forensic experts presented newly analyzed cellphone evidence, including more than one million digital artifacts and hundreds of pages of Snapchat data.
Investigators identified deleted information and reconstructed portions of Nolan’s phone activity and location history. From before and AFTER his death, before the phone was returned to Nolan’s family.
The forensic examiner acknowledged that the available data does not establish who deleted the information or why — but these findings deserve to be fully investigated.
The state autopsy also reported no fluid or debris in Nolan’s airways and an empty stomach.
These findings do not support the statement of Nolan drowning, or prove how Nolan died — but combined with an undetermined cause of death and documented head injuries, they raise questions that should not simply be left unanswered.
NOLAN DESERVES ANSWERS.
NOLANS LIFE MATTERS.
Nolan was an 18-year-old college student and football athlete with his whole life ahead of him.
He was a son to Christine Wonsley and Elmore Wonsley.
He was a brother to Carlisha “Carli” Briscoe, Jalen Briscoe, Jaden Briscoe, Ethan Wonsley, and Elmore Wonsley Jr.
To his family, Nolan was not a case file or a headline.
He was their son. Their brother. Their loved one.
His family deserves to know what happened to him.
We are not asking anyone to be declared guilty without evidence.
We are asking for the evidence to be examined again.
We are asking for the cellphone data, deleted communications, GPS information, timeline, autopsy findings and injuries to receive a complete and independent investigation.
Nolan’s cause and manner of death remain undetermined.
That means there are still questions.
Nolans death still remains undetermined.
That means Nolan still hasn’t gotten justice.
REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION.
Follow the evidence.
Reexamine the unanswered questions.
Find out what really happened to Nolan Xavier Wells.
For Christine.
For Elmore.
For Carli.
For Jalen.
For Jaden.
For Ethan.
For Elmore Jr.
For Nolan Xavier Wells.
