Reopen Hope Village for the homeless in Longview, Washington
The Issue

They are women escaping domestic violence, seeking safety and stability for themselves and their children. They are veterans, once committed to serving our country, now experiencing the betrayal of being abandoned by the very nation they served. They are our children, either expelled from their homes due to their sexual identity or struggling to survive as their families face the financial ruin caused by enormous medical bills. One out of every 20 children in Longview schools is homeless. Not just a statistic, these numbers represent the children who roam the corridors of uncertainty, deprived of the sanctuary and security a home provides. We can, and we must, provide them hope.
Hope Village once stood as a beacon of sanctuary. It played a crucial role in providing shelter to those who have lost their way in Longview, Washington. That hope dimmed when Hope Village shuttered its doors, leaving those who relied on its protection vulnerable once again. It is time to reignite that beacon. It is time for the community to rally together for the reopening of Hope Village.
