Reopen Graham Green for community access
The issue
For years, Graham Green has served as a vital oasis for community members seeking a place to relax, play, and connect with nature. During COVID it became a much loved space for the whole community. The area was well looked after and greatly appreciated. But now we are locked out.
A Brief history
Graham Green was established in 1993 as part of the expansion of Dulwich High School and was intended to serve both the school and the wider community. The original Development Application recognised the community interest in the site and required an agreement between the Department of Education and Council to preserve community access.
The current campaign seeks to restore that original vision by reopening the Green for community use on weekends. Work to date has included securing the support of Inner West Council, developing a practical trial proposal and building community support to demonstrate the demand for access to this important local open space.
