On the 5th November 2025, temporary closure notices were put up in Formby Post Office on Brows Lane. 

The Post Office is a vital part of the community in Formby, not only allowing for a wide variety of services but also providing banking services to a community that recently, lost it's last high street bank. 

Whilst the nature of the closure is unclear, so are any details around when, or most concerningly IF the Post Office will reopen.

Formby residents and businesses rely heavily on this service. Its continued closure risks isolating vulnerable people and damaging local economic activity.

We, the people of Formby petition Post Office Ltd to provide transparency around why the Post Office is temporarily closed, to provide more clarity on if and when it will reopen and most importantly, not to permanently close this important establishment.
